Description

Wortmannin is a naturally occurring steroid metabolite that potently inhibits phosphotidylinositol 3-kinases (PI3Ks, IC50=1-10nM). Also inhibits PLK1 (IC50=24nM), PLK3 (IC50=49nM), MTOR, DNAPK, PI4Ks, MLCK, and MAPK at higher concentrations.

Wortmannin is a naturally occurring steroid metabolite that potently inhibits phosphotidylinositol 3-kinases (PI3Ks). Also inhibits PLK1 (IC50=24nM), PLK3, MTOR, DNAPK, PI4Ks, MLCK, and MAPK at higher concentrations. Helps enhance apoptotic effects by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt cascade and blocking the antiapoptotic effects of cytokines.
