Further, it is used in the synthesis of methacrylate-PEG-methacrylate-boron trifluoride self-doped gel polymer electrolytes and hydroboration-oxidation of divinylferrocene. In addition to this, it is used as a reagent for the preparation of NK1 receptor antagonists, complex polyketide natural products and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
