Description

Ideal for removing protein contamination from the membrane and diaphragm of pH electrodes. Pepsin-HCl Electrode Cleaning Solution, Reagecon™ is a solution of pepsin A in hydrochloric acid. Electrode elements should be soaked for approximately one hour to maintain optimal performance.

Pepsin A is an enzyme that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides. It is produced naturally in the human digestive system and is produced commercially for use in laboratories and in the food industry. Pepsin in hydrochloric acid is the preferred cleaning solution for removing protein contamination.
