Eurofins DiscoverX Flt-3 Protein, Active
Description
The receptor tyrosine kinase FLT-3 (fms-related tyrosine kinase 3, STK1) appears to play an important role in the development of hematopoietic stemcells, dendritic cells, B progenitor cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. On binding FLT3 ligand, the wild-type receptor dimerizes, activating its tyrosine kinase domain with resultant autophosphorylation. RAS-GAP, PLC-g, PI3-kinase, STAT5, and ERK1/2 are important signaling proteins linked to activation of FLT3. FLT3 is aberrantly expressed in the malignant cells in the majority of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
