Powerful and versatile eukaryotic system for high-level protein expression in insect cells

  • Engineered to include attR sites for quick and efficient recombination with Gateway entry clone
  • Gene of interest is recombined from entry clone into BaculoDirect Linear DNA using a simple, one-hour LR reaction
  • Resulting reaction mix contains recombinant baculovirus carrying gene of interest and is used directly to transfect insect cells
  • Need for transforming bacteria and isolating large bacmid or co-transfection of a transfer vector and linear baculovirus DNA into insect cells is eliminated for reduced hands-on time
  • Purified baculovirus can be isolated in less than one week
  • N-terminal V5-His tag for detection with Anti-V5 Antibody and purification with nickel-chelating resin (BaculoDirect N-Term Linear DNA)
  • TEV protease cleavage site for removal of V5-His tag following purification (BaculoDirectN-Term Linear DNA)
  • C-terminal V5-His tag for detection with Invitrogens Anti-V5 Antibody and purification with nickel-chelating resin (BaculoDirect C-Term Linear DNA)
