Description
Iron(II) bromide is used as an intermediate in the synthesis porphryins. It is also used as weak reducing agents. It is used as precursor for the preparation of [(C2H5)4N]2FeBr4 by reacting with tetraethylammonium bromide. It is also involved in the synthesis of iron pyrite nanocrystals and nanocrystalline thin films.
