Suitable for purifying IgG molecules from a variety of species, fractionation of IgG fragments, fractionation of cells tagged with IgG, and isolation of antigen-antibody complexes

  • The matrix consists of purified Protein A covalently attached to cross-linked 4% agarose beads using the cyanogen bromide method
  • Protein A Agarose can bind >18mg of human IgG/mL of gel
  • Binding capacity for human IgG is determined by affinity chromatography
  • Protein A interacts with some classes of IgM and IgA
