Description

Designed to isolate CD4+ T cells via a negative selection principle

CD4 is an approximately 55kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed predominantly on thymocytes and a subset of mature T cells. In humans, CD4 is also expressed to a lesser extent on monocytes and macrophage related cells.

Typical recovery ranges between 40% and 66% and the purity of recovered CD4+ T cells ranges between 90 and 95%, with no detectable CD8+ T cells
Magnetically tagged cells will migrate toward the magnet (unwanted cell fraction), leaving the untagged cells or desired cell population in suspension to be harvested by aspiration while the tube remains in the magnetic field
