Description

Solid phase sandwich ELISA used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous IL27

  • Recognizes human IL27
  • IL27 is a member of IL12/IL23 heterodimeric family of cytokines
    • Hads pleiotropic properties that can enhance or limit immune responses
    • Plays critical role in early regulation of T helper type 1 initiation and enhances proliferation of naive CD4+T cells and naive B cells

Process:

  • Antibody specific for IL27 pre-coated onto microwells
  • IL27 protein in samples captured by coated antibody after incubation
  • After extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody is added to detect captured IL27 protein
  • For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
  • Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
    • Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
