Description
Cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate is used to offers a novel route to tartronic acid derivatives via facile oxygenation of malonates. It is also used as for oxidative addition reactions of electrophilic radicals to alkenes, enabling intermolecular and intramolecular carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bond formation.
