Efficient-Pro AGT Feed 1 has been designed specifically for CHO-S and DG-44 cells; however, it has been demonstrated to improve performance in other CHO variants and even other parental cell lines.
We recommend continuing current supplementation protocols including insulin and other growth factors when using Efficient-Pro AGT Feed 1.
The shelf-life of Efficient-Pro AGT Feed 1 is 12 months from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is provided on the product label.
The comprehensive feed protocol for Efficient-Pro AGT Feed 1 is included in the user guide (https://assets.thermofisher.com/TFS-Assets/LSG/manuals/MAN0025907_EfficientProAGTFeed1_UG.pdf). We recommend first designing a small-scale experiment using an Ambr15 Microbioreactor or other small vessel with concentrations between 1.5% to 3.0% of Efficient-Pro AGT Feed 1 in 0.5% increments beginning on day 3, with daily feeds through harvest. Once the specific feeding strategy is tailored to your CHO cell system for optimized results, cultures can be scaled up to larger vessels and bioreactors.
