The standard procedure takes less than 20 minutes following cell lysis and yields purified DNA greater than 30 kb in size. Isolated DNA can be used directly in PCR, Southern blotting, and enzymatic reactions.

Yes, the kits are compatible with animal blood for DNA/RNA purification.
Can I use a vacuum manifold with GeneJET kits?

The GeneJET spin columns are compatible with vacuum manifolds of standard size (e.g. Qiagen, Sigma-Aldrich, Promega). However, not all GeneJET kits are supported with a vacuum protocol. Please refer to the particular kit protocol for the detailed procedure.
