Description

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Rabbit, Rat and Mouse. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. Glutaminase is a phosphate-activated amidohydrolase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine to glutamate and ammonia. It is primarily expressed in the brain and kidney and plays an essential role in generating energy for metabolism, synthesizing neurotransmitter glutamate, and maintaing acid-based balance in the kidney. There are alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants in the Glutaminase gene.
