Description

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • Also known as: CILP-1; HsT18872
  • CILP-1 is a secreted monomeric cartilage glycoprotein.
  • CILP-1 is produced by chondrocytes in both hyaline and fibrocartilage, and preferentially found in the inter-territorial matrix of the interior layers of articular cartilage.
  • Its expression increases with age and correlates with osteoarthritis.
  • The full-length and the Nterminal domain of CILP-1 are shown to function as an IGF-1 antagonist.
  • An allelic variant of CILP has been associated with lumbar disc disease.
  • The insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
