A CTP analog with biotin attached at the N 4 -position of the pyrimidine base by a 14-atom linker

Biotin-14-CTP can be efficiently incorporated into RNA transcripts using T7, SP6, or T3 RNA polymerase and the appropriate template in the presence of ATP, GTP, UTP, and Biotin-14-CTP. The biotinylated RNA can be used as a probe in membrane-based or in situhybridizations. The amount of material provided is sufficient for up to 20 transcription reactions (1μg template).

Performance and Quality Testing: Purity is evaluated by reverse-phase HPLC.
