For reconstitution, add sterile, distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Gently shake to solubilize the protein completely. Do not vortex. Reconstituted products should be stored at -80 °. This antibody can also be cross referenced by the term STX-100.

Integrin subunit alpha V (ITGAV) and integrin subunit beta 6 (ITGB6) are essential components of the integrin family, which play crucial roles in cell adhesion, signaling, and tissue homeostasis. The ITGAV gene is located on chromosome 2q31, encoding the alpha-V subunit, which pairs with various beta subunits, including ITGB6, to form integrin alpha V-containing heterodimers such as alpha V beta 6. Structurally, integrins are transmembrane heterodimers comprising alpha and beta subunits that bind to extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, mediating cell-ECM interactions. The ITGB6 gene, located on chromosome 2q24.2, encodes the beta 6 subunit, which specifically dimerizes with the alpha V subunit to form the alpha V beta 6 integrin. This heterodimer is primarily expressed in epithelial tissues and is involved in processes such as epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), wound healing, and fibrosis. Both genes are implicated in various diseases; for example, ITGAV variants are associated with immune dysregulation and brain disorders, while ITGB6 is upregulated in cancer and plays a role in tumor progression and fibrosis.
