Lipofectamine CRISPRMAX Cas9 Transfection Reagent is the first optimized lipid-based transfection reagent for CRISPR knockout applications. It effectively delivers the Cas9 protein and guide RNA (gRNA) ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex, ensuring high transfection efficiency and effective gene knockout. The proprietary lipid-based transfection reagent minimizes cellular toxicity, making it suitable to for sensitive cells. We have no data regarding the use of CRISPRMAX in one-celled embryos, therefore we do not recommend using this product for this application.
All of the Lipofectamine reagents, including Lipofectamine CRISPRMAX Cas9 Transfection Reagent, are stable at room temperature for months. What is most important is that the reagent did not freeze, because that will alter the integrity and composition of the lipid particles and will compromise usability. Previous freezing can be evidenced by precipitation and excessive cloudiness of the reagent. A limited amount of cloudiness is normal, but excessive cloudiness is a sign that the reagent froze at some point. If the reagent you received looks clear or a bit cloudy the product should still be usable.
