Description
For reconstitution, add sterile, distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Gently shake to solubilize the protein completely. Do not vortex. Reconstituted products should be stored at -80 °.
Melrilimab is a biosimilar antibody, specifically an anti-IL1RL1/ST2 antibody. The gene associated with this biosimilar is IL1RL1, which encodes the interleukin-1 receptor-like 1 protein, also known as ST2 or IL-33R. This receptor is predominantly expressed on the surface of immune cells and plays a role in the immune response by interacting with the cytokine IL-33. IL1RL1 is located on chromosome 2q12.1 in humans. It is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family and forms a heterodimer with the IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP), functioning as the receptor for IL-33. IL1RL1 plays a crucial role in immune and inflammatory responses. It is particularly important in conditions such as asthma and rheumatoid arthritis, where it is upregulated. The protein structure includes an extracellular domain for ligand binding, a transmembrane domain, and an intracellular domain for signal transduction. IL-33 binding to IL1RL1 activates signaling pathways that lead to the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, contributing to the amplification of immune responses.Specifications
