Description

Methionine/Choline-deficient Pellet Diet, is used to study induction of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in experimental models and its routes of development.

  • Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) was induced by feeding a methionine/choline-deficient diet (MCD-diet) for up to 5 weeks to mice.
  • NASH is a disease with a high incidence, difficult diagnosis, and as yet no effective treatment.
  • So, MCD-diet is used to study induction of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in experimental models and its routes of development.
