Description

This tool is for fast and easy extraction of nucleic acids using a magnetic method. It is commonly used in combination with MagBeads FastDNA™ kits.

  • Magnet made of high-energy neodymium
    • Small, strong and easy to handle
  • For fast and efficient magnetic separations
  • Design allows easy removal of rack from magnet
    • Tubes can be placed on shaker or vortex during extraction process
    • Good visibility of samples
  • Up to 24 tubes of 1.5 or 2 mL

Storage:

  • Magnet:
    • Stored in a dry and cool place
    • Never use > 50 °C
  • Tube rack:
    • Store at room temp
    • Can be placed with tubes at temp as low as -20 °C for a limited time

Cleaning:

  • Use with one of the following solutions:
    • 70% (v/v) isopropyl alcohol
    • 1% (v/v) sodium hypochlorite solution (bleach)
    • 0.1 N HCl solution

Notes:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure of rack to water or aqueous solutions
  • Not autoclavable
