Description
Enhance electron-capture detection (ECD) and improve GC-MS analysis by using Thermo Scientific™ Pentafluoropropanol Acylation Reagent for derivatization. This acylation reagent reacts readily with alcohols, phenols, and amines to produce perfluoroacyl derivatives which improve ECD response and provide useful structural information for GC-MS applications. Carboxylic acids can be derivatized using a two-step reaction, which involves a reaction with an anhydride followed by a fluorinated alcohol. This derivatization reagent is well suited for confirmation of drugs of abuse.
- Addition of fluorine atoms into compounds greatly enhances the sensitivity of certain detectors for all those materials
- Carboxylic acids can be derivatized using a two-step reaction involving reaction with anhydride, followed by a fluorinated alcohol
