Phenylisothiocyanate, an amine-reactive, colored compound (Amax 254nm; UV) for pre-column derivatization of amino acids for reverse-phase HPLC.

Thermo Scientific™ Pierce PITC (phenylisothiocyanate) is a high-purity reagent for pre-column quantitative derivatization of amino acids by reverse-phase HPLC.

  • Also known as Edman's Reagent
  • Reacts readily with amino acids in 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature
