Invitrogen™ Platinum™ Tfi DNA Polymerase

Platinum™ Tfi DNA Polymerase combines Platinum™ automated hot-start technology with a non-Taq, surfactant-free PCR enzyme derived from Thermus filiformis. PCR performance is comparable to Platinum™ Taq DNA polymerase in yield, specificity, fidelity, and robustness for targets less than 1 kb in length. In addition, Platinum™ Tfi is available in a 5'Exo (-) form for PCR applications that do not require the polymerase to have 5'exonuclease activity. With Platinum™ Tfi, you’ll:

–Improve PCR sensitivity and yield with an automated hot start

–Generate more available enzyme during the enzyme activation step for improved PCR robustness
–Amplify more DNA with less enzyme per reaction

Applications: Amplification of DNA from complex genomic, viral, and plasmid templates.

Unit definition: One unit of Platinum™ Tfi DNA Polymerase incorporates 10 nmol of deoxyribonucleotide into DNA in 30 minutes at 74°C.

Contents: Platinum™ Tfi DNA Polymerase is supplied with a magnesium free 5X Platinum™ Tfi Reaction Buffer and a separate vial 50 mM MgCl₂ .
