Description
Praseodymium(III) nitrate hexahydrate is used in electrical components, optical glasses and photo-optical materials. Also find use as catalysts and laboratory reagent. In addition, it is used in the solvothermal process for formation of doped lanthanide oxysulfide. It is a precursor for the electrodeposition of praseodymium oxide for electrochemical applications. It is a starting material for the preparation of ceramic pigments, metal-organic frameworks and mixed conductors. It finds utility in the synthesis of other praseodymium compounds and complexes.
