Description

Obtain fast and accurate identification of microbiological organisms with real biological organisms growing on fresh enriched microbiological culture media.

Thermo Scientific™ Quanti-Cult Plus™ Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus ATCC™ 6538P™ is supplied as a film of preserved microorganisms on the inside of the cap on a plastic vial ready for rehydration and use in quality control procedures.

  • No serial dilution required
  • Delivers less-than100 colony forming units (CFUs) in a single 0.1mL inoculum
  • 10 tests/reconstituted vial; 100 tests/kit
  • Ready for rehydration

According to ATCC S. aureus ATCC™ 6538P™ was found moderately resistant to penicillin in 1944 using a Penicillin P2 disk. This result was confirmed in initial characterization at ATCC, but subsequent investigation using a Penicillin P10 disk did not show resistance. Resistance has not been confirmed using modern methods in accordance with the Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines.
