Description

Description

  • ReadyProbes 2.5% Normal Chicken Serum is a ready-to-use non-specific blocker for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and immunofluorescence (IF) experiments, usually when a chicken secondary antibody is used.
  • Incubating cells/tissue with diluted serum from the same species as the host of the secondary antibody typically reduces non-specific binding.
  • Simply cover the tissue section or cells with a few drops of ReadyProbes 2.5% Normal Chicken Serum and incubate for 30–60 minutes at room temperature.
  • Ready Probes 2.5% Normal Chicken Serum can also be used to dilute primary and secondary antibodies.
  • Ready Probes 2.5% Normal Chicken Serum is provided as a ready-to-use reagent with no further dilution or preparation required. The serum is collected from healthy adult animals and the heat-treated, centrifuged, and filtered.
  • It is then checked for cross reactivity using an appropriate immunoassay. The serum is diluted to 2.5% (v/v) in buffer, with 0.08% sodium azide added as a preservative.
