Description
For reconstitution, add sterile, distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Gently shake to solubilize the protein completely. Do not vortex. Reconstituted products should be stored at -80 °. This antibody can also be cross referenced by the term Agilvax Patent Anti-Slc7A11.
SLC7A11 (also known as XCT) is a member of a hetromeric, sodium-independent, anionic amino acid transport system. It is highly specific for cysteine and glutamate. SLC7A11 is a mediator of Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpes virus fusion and entry into cells. Increased expression of this protein in primary gliomas is associated with neuronal cell death.
