TNFRSF4 Monoclonal Antibody (OTI2B7), TrueMAB™, OriGene
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Origene Technologies TA812371
Description
OX40 (CD134) is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily, and has been shown to activate NF-kappaB through its interaction with adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. Knockout studies in mice suggested that OX40 promotes the expression of apoptosis inhibitors BCL2 and BCL2lL1/BCL2-XL, and thus suppresses apoptosis. The knockout studies also suggested the roles of this receptor in CD4+ T cell response, as well as in T cell-dependent B cell proliferation and differentiation.OX40 is not constitutively expressed on resting naive T cells, unlike CD28. OX40 is a secondary costimulatory molecule, expressed after 24 to 72 hours following activation. OX40L, a ligand of OX40, is also not expressed on resting antigen presenting cells. Expression of OX40 is dependent on full activation of the T cell; without CD28, expression of OX40 is delayed and expressed at lower levels.Specifications
