Invitrogen™ GBP1 Polyclonal Antibody
Description
Purity is > 95% by SDS-PAGE.
GBP1 or guanlyate binding protein 1 is a 68 kDa GTPase and member of the GTPase1 family of molecules. GBP1 expression is induced by Interferon g as well as other inflammatory cytokines including IL-1a, IL-1b and TNF-a. Induction of GBP1 expression by poly I:C, a prototypical TLR3 ligand, as well as GBP1 expression dependency on NF-kB and IFNa response elements implicate TLR pathway involvement. Inversely proportional expression of GBP1 and MMP-1 as well as other related molecules to adhesion and migration show a clear functional role of GBP1 in suppressing angiogenesis and migration especially of endothelial cells. As a regulatory molecule it is centrally involved in signal transduction of inflammatory and cell migration networks.
