Used as a titrant in volumetric analysis. Potassium Hydroxide Solution, 0.1M, Chem-Lab is a laboratory reagent that has 5.612g KOH per 1L of solvent. It is highly acidic in nature and is highly corrosive when handled. Choice of alcohol solvents or water matrix.

Potassium hydroxide solution is an effective conductor and alcoholic solutions are highly flammable. It is used in the production of other potassium compounds and as an electrolyte in alkaline batteries, such as those used in television remote controls. It is used in the manufacture of soft soaps and the production of biodiesel. It can be also be used in disinfection agents for surfaces that resist KOH corrosion, in chemical cremation and to identify some species of fungi.
